ECNP Networks

The ECNP Networks programme of pan-European research collaborations is one of ECNP's most successful initiatives.

Late last month the Networks Taskforce met in Leiden, the Netherlands, to share their actions and prepare their strategy for the coming year.

The aim of the ECNP Networks is to create and foster powerful, sustainable and independent European research consortia to collect essential clinical, psychological and biological variables for clinical and experimental studies and treatment trials in psychiatry and neurology.

Equally important, the programme provides a highly effective platform from which to assemble large-scale collaborations to compete for European funding.

The success rate in EU applications to date has been striking, leading to a variety of major European projects, totalling tens of millions of euros in grant funding. Several are also supported by ECNP as dissemination partner.

If you would like to know more about the Networks, or would like to join, please find more information here, or contact us.

Workshop on Clinical Research Methods

Only a few weeks left to apply!

The next ECNP Workshop on Clinical Research Methods will take place on 8-10 November 2017 in Barcelona, Spain.

The workshop introduces junior clinicians (psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, etc.) to research methodology and promotes a critical approach to the scientific literature that is particularly relevant to clinical practice.

This is a unique opportunity for junior colleagues to become familiar with the scientific method, the key to good practice.

If you would like to attend the workshop, you can apply until 1 May 2017.

There is no registration fee and hotel accommodation is provided free of charge by ECNP.

This shows significant cognitive improvements for modafinil and methylphenidate, and may have influence how these drugs are used off-label in a range of activities.
